Not only did we get to shoot some family portraits, we got to boat out to Masonboro Island to do them! This family was a blast to work with and it really shows in their photos below. We met this great family this year when Sarah was able to teach one of their daughters. She is an awesome kid who approaches everything with a smile; it seems this is a family trait. Check out these awesome photos to prove it!
The Stanley Rehder Carnivorous Plant Garden is right off Wilmington, NC’s cross city trail near Independence Mall. Sarah and I love riding our bikes along the cross city trail and enjoyed our time checking out this carnivorous garden. The unique Pitcher Plants, Venus Fly Traps, and Sundews were a really cool sight to see and made great subjects for me to test out the new Rokinon 85mm lens. Check out some photos from the garden and trail below and you can find out more information on the Stanley Rehder Carnivorous Plant Garden by visiting the City of Wilmington’s page for it.
Last year we shot beach portraits with these guys and had a blast! This year we went directly to them for an on location session that overlooked the sound in North Topsail Beach, NC. This was a perfect backdrop for their portraits with the sun setting over the water in the distance.
In typical Loving Lens fashion, we got silly at the end with props! Check out some of the highlights of this family photo session below!
One of our favorite spots to see the sunset is nestled on the southern tip of Wrightsville Beach, NC. I have been out there to shoot the sunset on numerous occasions and recently did a time lapse of the sun setting over the water which you can view below.
If you enjoy what you see, be sure to check out our portfolio of time lapse (available in 4K) and other clips available as stock footage on Pond5.com.
