Family Photo Shoot: Masonboro Island

What fun day!

Not only did we get to shoot some family portraits, we got to boat out to Masonboro Island to do them! This family was a blast to work with and it really shows in their photos below. We met this great family this year when Sarah was able to teach one of their daughters. She is an awesome kid who approaches everything with a smile; it seems this is a family trait. Check out these awesome photos to prove it!

Family Portraits: North Topsail Beach, NC

We love working with this family!

Last year we shot beach portraits with these guys and had a blast! This year we went directly to them for an on location session that overlooked the sound in North Topsail Beach, NC. This was a perfect backdrop for their portraits with the sun setting over the water in the distance.

In typical Loving Lens fashion, we got silly at the end with props! Check out some of the highlights of this family photo session below!

Chairs of Hope 2014

We are incredibly excited to share our new Chairs of Hope poster design & video today!

Chairs of Hope 2014 Poster

“Chairs of Hope is an art-based community outreach project in which students & staff at Vandora Springs Elementary School in Garner, NC paint wooden chairs to raise money for the fight against cancer through Relay for Life of Garner. Each year, over 30 chairs are hand-painted with a specific theme in mind. Our finished chairs are then auctioned off in a silent auction format in April, with all the proceeds going to the American Cancer Society.”

Both myself and Sarah have been involved in Chairs of Hope since 2010. Sarah has been painting chairs for the auction since then, and I have been doing what I can to document the event via photography, designing posters, making the website, and creating the mini-documentary below. It’s a wonderful annual event for a fantastic cause!
