Empty Bowl Project

We had so much fun documenting the Codington Elementary School Empty Bowl Project!

The Empty Bowl Project is a grassroots movement that has helps to end hunger. Since 1990, this artistic project has been working hard towards that goal and this is the second year in a row that the Codington Elementary School Service Club has contributed by hosting it’s own event to raise money for Nourish NC.

Led by our very own Sarah Pearce, the Service Club created their bowls and held the event on September 17, raising over $750 and receiving an amazing amount of food donations to help battle hunger locally.

Check out TWC News for their news story on the event:

Family Photo Shoot: Masonboro Island

What fun day!

Not only did we get to shoot some family portraits, we got to boat out to Masonboro Island to do them! This family was a blast to work with and it really shows in their photos below. We met this great family this year when Sarah was able to teach one of their daughters. She is an awesome kid who approaches everything with a smile; it seems this is a family trait. Check out these awesome photos to prove it!

Family Portraits: North Topsail Beach, NC

We love working with this family!

Last year we shot beach portraits with these guys and had a blast! This year we went directly to them for an on location session that overlooked the sound in North Topsail Beach, NC. This was a perfect backdrop for their portraits with the sun setting over the water in the distance.

In typical Loving Lens fashion, we got silly at the end with props! Check out some of the highlights of this family photo session below!
